You can be a total beginner or even advanced, apply to the MERKAZ language center and learn Hebrew with us!
If you are a complete beginner and have never studied Hebrew before, then our Alef 1 beginner group is for you!
If you have already learned Hebrew, we will help you choose a group that matches your level of language skills. To register, it is enough to contact us by e-mail: heber@merkaz.info. After applying, the Head of our language center will assess your language skills and assign you to the appropriate level group.

Available levels:
- Alef 1 (first semester)
- Alef 2 (second semester)
- Bet 1 (third semester)
- Bet 2 (fourth semester)
- Bet 3 (fifth semester).
Available intervals:
- In person weekdays: 40 hours on every Tuesdays and Thursdays for 10 weeks from 6 pm to 7:30 pm
- In person weekends: 30 hours on Sundays for 10 weeks from 10 am to 12:30 pm
- Online: 30 hours on Sundays for 10 weeks from 4:30 pm to 7 pm
Optional course formats:
- In person (MERKAZ- Hebrew and Israeli Cultural Center, 1061 Budapest Paulay Ede utca 1.)
- Online (via a video conference platform)
Courses fees:
- 30 hour course: 45 000 HUF
- 40 hour course: 60 000 HUF
Terms of registration
- Courses will start depending on the number of students registered. Group size: minimum 5, maximum 12 students.
- You can finalize your registration by paying the course fee
- All registered students will be informed from the course’s start by email within 72 hours of the end of the actual registration period.
- If the course you have chosen does not start and we cannot offer you an ideal alternative, we give you a full refund of your application fee
- If you pay by bank transfer, please send a receipt of payment to heber@merkaz.info and we will be able to place you in the group you are taking.
