Aliyah

The state of Israel is welcoming and supporting new immigrants. Anyone who can prove with appropriate documents about that at least one grandparent is Jewish is eligible to submit an immigration application. If the positive assessment is made, they are permitted to immigrate to Israel as well as to acquire an Israeli citizenship.

Under the Immigration Act (Law of Return), a Jew’s grandparents must be certified to apply to settle in Israel. You can read the law HERE.

This is an application for establishment / immigration, so it is not just an application for Israeli citizenship or an Israeli passport. Settling in Israel is accompanied by the acquisition of citizenship and an Israeli passport.
