The film based on the book of Larry Collins and Dominique Lapierre and bearing the same title tells the story of the friendship of a Jewish American and an Arab American man. The two arrive to Jerusalem just before the UN regulation on the creation of a Jewish and an Arab State takes effect, where they soon find themselves in the middle of the Arab-Jewish conflict – as each other’s enemies.
