The Israeli Cultural Institute is located in the heart of Budapest under 1, Paulay Ede Street. With its 1500 sqm territory over three floors and a garden, state of the art conditions grant every opportunity for the highest level of educational and cultural events.
By creating spaces in different sizes and functions the Institute becomes an open air environment where endowing cohesion and a generally positive atmosphere, awaiting guests before, during and after organized events. The garden, the café and the future information centre and library will render the location perfect to attain these goals.
Motti Zisser, as one of our most generous donors, who made it possible hand in hand with the Sochunt to purchase the real-estate was the one who named the Mala Zisser Building, the home of out Institute.
The Mala Zisser Building is a home for other organizations as well, cooperating with the Israeli Cultural Institute.
Sochnut – The Sochnut (The Jewish Agency for Israel) is an international Jewish organization with its primary goal being to create bonds between Israel and the Jewry of the diaspora. Created in 1929, it seeks to support the objectives of Zionism, creating a nation for Jewish people. Even today the Sochnut is the main body assisting those who wish to move to Israel.
Mensch International Foundation – the "MENSCH" International Foundation is an NGO, its goals being creating tolerant social values and forming a democratic historical perception which cherishes and respects the rights of minorities and denominations, condemns chauvinism, racism, xenophobia and all forms of incitement.
Maccabi VAC Hungary - The MACCABI Fencing and Athletics Club is a voluntary physical exercise and athletics organization of young Jews in Hungary. The club, in addition to being an athletics organisation, is also a cultural group. In accordance with that it organizes children drawings’ exhibitions and trips to Israel for the younger generation to get to know Israel. Maccabi has taken its part in the Yom Haatzmaut programs and held Hanukkah races. The organization functions as an NGO, being the only Hungarian association which is a member of the Maccabi World Union.
Hanoar Hatzioni - The Hanoar Hatzioni youth organization has existed in Hungary ever since the change of the regime, with a few minor breaks throughout the years. In 2005 work has restarted due to a restructuring procedure initiated by enthusiastic Hungarian Jews and Israeli advisors. Through a lot of enthusiasm, perseverance and hard work experience was gained and the Hanoar Hatzioni became an integral part of the lives of the Jewish youth of Budapest.

Kidma – The Kidma Association is not a religious organization. It focuses on Hungarian everyday life, Jewish culture and Israel. Its members respect Jewish tradition and the values of Israeli Society, thus creating a base and a need to assist others, organizing donation-gatherings and charities. The Kidma Association thrives to further strengthen its ties with the different Jewish Organizations in Hungary and its partners in Israel. In the spring of 1999 Kidma started off as an age-group of the Hashomer Hatzair youth organization. From day one the group tried to create a receptive community. Our goal has remained unchanged, that is to make Kidma appealing to all Jewish youth, who are over 18, and in addition to work or university are interested in the newest exhibitions and films.
